A few days ago I scheduled some blog posts to come up during the week. I like to do that if I have a few minutes here and there. But that was before we were aware of more health concerns with Nathan. So - if you know what is going on with him and you're wondering why I'm posting things about bubble machines, etc., well, that's why. :)
Now on to Nathan... Monday he had his regular neurology appointment where we discuss how he is doing & talk about future treatment options if we need them. At the end of his appointment the doctor always checks his heart. This Monday was the first time anyone has heard anything different in Nathan's heart. Tuesday we went to the cardiologist for an EKG (electrodes measure electrical activity and patterns of the heart) & and an echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart to see what is happening). The cardiologist sent us to the children's hospital by ambulance. Nathan has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy - a thickening of the heart muscle. I have a limited understanding of this at the moment, so I won't go into lots of detail about it. I just know it's very dangerous, especially in a baby as young as Nathan. I don't really know what else to say... They're doing lots of tests and trying to figure out what's going on with our sweet little man. Please pray for him. We trust God and know that prayer is the real work. That's where real answers and real help come from.
I'll update when I know more.
(Also, my laptop is not recognizing my camera or the camera on my phone for some reason, so no photos while we're in the hospital.)

So sorry. I continue to lift up your family and this precious little boy. May he feel the arms of Jesus around him.
