Random things from the week...
Is it me, or does it just seem wrong for Barbie to be singing about indentured servitude?
Dear HOA (Home Owner's Association),
Is leaving your trash can out overnight really soooo much worse than turning your front yard into a graveyard for the month of October? Really???
I love candy corn. This is a new development.
It is difficult to find size 13 youth tennis/athletic shoes that velcro or have those little bungee ties. Let me clarify - affordable size 13 shoes for a very tall almost five year old. And they must be pretty. Thank you Target for having one pair left - silver sparkles and all. She loves them! :)
Little Man does not like peas... But neither does anyone else in our family. Hannah did eat them as a finger food years ago when she would eat anything, but those days are long gone. Peas were Nathan's new food this week. At first he would happily open his mouth for them. Then as the days went by he opened less happily, then made weird faces, then ended with gagging. I got the message. No more peas! Now we're on to turkey which he seems to like much better.
I'm planning what baby food to make and freeze - pumpkin and avocado are on the list so far. Any maybe green beans too - he needs something green and I don't think avocado really counts.
I think I've gotten everyone's sock and shoe situations under control this week. Small victories!
Today is another popcorn Friday! The big kids love this and a side benefit is that I think they are learning the days of the week. They look forward to it all week and ask how many days until then, so we're always going through the days of the week and counting up. Today's popcorn infused feature film is Joseph, King of Dreams. I picked this one up for $2.50 at our local JBF sale a few weeks ago. JBF is a huge consignment sale you can check out here.
End of random rambling...
You're welcome!

Barbie singing about indentured servitude?!?! You need to quit subscribing to the extremist political children's cartoon stations. Next thing you know, Hannah and Graham will be holding children's rallies in the streets!
In the streets - what a great idea! They already hold them in the living room before bedtime. I should just send them outdoors. :)
