Even though it's 10 degrees cooler than a week ago, it has still been in the mid 90's most days, so any new and interesting indoor diversion is welcome. Really, my mindset is to just get through August, then on to more fun things. So, thanks to Aunt Amy's idea, last Friday was our first official Popcorn Friday! It's pretty simple. You make popcorn and watch a movie. We decided to watch our movie on an old blanket since we love picnics. It was a total hit with Hannah and a partial hit with Graham. Unless a movie is about cars, it just doesn't hold his attention for long.
So, during boring parts he practiced his "tricks" for me. Lots of rolling and jumping and some special sound effects for good measure.
Then back to the popcorn and movie. Hannah sat quietly with rapt attention the entire time. I think we'll try it again this week. I need to go pick another movie!
