A few highlights from our recent day at the zoo... Part I...

Some of our favorite animals of the day were the flamingos. They were entertaining to watch as they glided around honking loudly at one another.

This one is sitting on a nest.

After watching them for a few seconds my observant little girl stated, "they are not really pink." Which begs the question - Why are they called pink flamingos, when clearly "they are not really pink"?
