Green Goodness

Today's green smoothie was spinach, carrot, banana & a little bit of apple juice. Mmmm, tasty! (I'm quoting Hannah there.) A good combination and much less pulpy without the apple. I recommend this one.

so I like green things, and this challenge sounded intriguing... so.... last night I went to the store & bought a few things. However, before getting to the little grocery store, I pass a few fruit & veggie vendors, and generally their produce is better than the stores. I stopped, bought a few things I thought would work, and came back home.
but
I bought the wrong kind of lettuce. I got the only descent looking dark lettuce he had - and it turned out to be peppery hot! (they have it in Korea too, but I've never seen this in the US).
I am currently drinking something green made from:
2 bananas,
a squirt of honey
a little water & a little skim milk (to tone down the)
peppery-lettuce.
and...the banana tastes good...

Hi! I'm a friend of Kim over at Kiddos and K9s...I have a question about your smoothie...were the carrots raw when you put them in? Seems like the blender might have a hard time with them...but your combo sounds great! :-)

Hi ASC, yes the carrots were raw, but they were "matchstick" carrots. Essentially they were shredded. I found them cut like this near the bagged salad at Kroger. Thanks for asking! I've visited your blog too & enjoy it. :)

Thanks, Melissa! We enjoy stopping by your blog from time to time, as well! Fun thing, this blogging...allows you to make "friends" you never would have, otherwise!
