The Waiting Game

I realize I haven't said much about our pregnancy or our sweet little baby. Honestly, I've just been really busy and tired! And as of about a week ago, I've been having contractions literally every time I stand up. Very tiring. Anyway, our official due date is November 3rd, but I will be really surprised if we don't have a baby this week. !!! He is full-term and my body has never gone past 38 weeks in a pregnancy. This week is 38 weeks, so now we're just playing the waiting game.

We've decided to have him here at home versus traveling an hour to the birth center. As soon as we made that decision I felt immediately relieved! I had been concerned that we wouldn't get there in time since things have moved really quickly in the past. So this past week I've been getting everything ready. Mom has been here a lot to help watch the kids and generally help me with everything - thanks again Mom!

Last night I opened up a package of newborn diapers and they just smell like a sweet newborn to me. Ahhh... And they're so tiny! But as small as they are, they're ALWAYS too big & we end up having to fold them over for a few weeks. So cute.

His tiny little clothes are all washed and put away... His bassinet is by my side of the bed and waiting (thanks Amy!)... Soft little blankets are washed and folded... Graham has been practicing saying Baby's name... I think we're as ready as we're going to be. :)
